Minimum Remuneration in Nepal: Minimum Wage in Nepal | Minimum Basic Salary in Nepal (2082–2084)
As per the Labor Act, 2074, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (formerly named the Ministry of Youth, Labor and Employment (“the Ministry”) is required to fix the minimum remuneration of labors every two years. The Ministry has published a notice revising the minimum salary structure, effective from 1 Shrawan 2082, remain in effect until the end of Ashar 2084.
Minimum remuneration in Nepal for labors other than tea-estate labors
The minimum remuneration fixed by the Government of Nepal, excluding tea-estate labors, effective from 1 Shrawan 2082 to the end of Ashar 2084, is as follows:

2. Minimum remuneration for labors employed at tea estates

3. Remuneration Increment and time interval.
Any labor who has completed one year of service period shall be entitled to an annual increment in remuneration in an amount equal to at least half a day remuneration based on the monthly basic remuneration to which the labor is entitled.
4. Calculation of the Basic Remuneration:
The basic remuneration of a labor engaged in worked-based shall be equal to sixty percent of the average monthly remuneration earned by the labor over the preceding three months, and this amount shall not be less than the minimum remuneration fixed by the Government of Nepal.
If the basic remuneration for a particular employment has not been separately determined, an amount equal to sixty percent of the remuneration ordinarily earned by the labor in that employment shall be treated as the basic remuneration.
